In 2008-2009, the CTF launched a $2 million Digital Media Pilot Program, aimed at generating a stronger Canadian presence in new media. Following the success of the pilot, the Digital Media Program was renewed in 2009-2010 with a budget of $10 million. Canadian digital media projects that are associated with CTF-funded television productions are eligible for funding, which is delivered in the form of a grant on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted. Applicants may begin submitting applications on June 18, 2009 when the first allocation of $6 million will be made available. A second allocation of $4 million will be made available on October 15, 2009.
